"Taboan sa Iligan" : cheaper goods for sale, converging place for fun

Everyone can now enjoy at a meager budget!

The "Taboan sa Iligan" was formally opened with prayers and of dramatic "palo-sibo" by local officials on September 14 at 5 p.m., to hope for more earnings and great bounties.

Taboan is a converging area for residents and visitors of the city, specially at night time, where they can buy cheaper goods, clothes, kitchen wares, home decors, slippers and shoes.

Children can also enjoy the carnaval here with ferris wheel, horror booths among others.

Those who frequent here can also sing here with videoKs and can enjoy chatting their friends over snacks.

For farmers, seedlings and flowers are also displayed and for advocates of indigenous craft, wooden chairs and home decors are also sold at the Taboan.

The opening was graced by Regional Director Butch Chan of the Department of Tourism-Region 10, congressman Vicente Belmonte, mayor Lawrence LLuch Cruz and some guests.

Said affair was also highlighted with the presence of the candidates for Ms. Iligan and Ms Gay.

With lighted candles, they toured in some places at the Taboan while Fr. Fruto of the Redemptorist Church blessed it.

Taboan will last until October 2009.
